“Mum, I want to make something! What can I make…???”
“Can’t you go outside and play?” (in a hopeful sort of way)
“But I want to invent something new”
“Oh horrors…”
“I want to make up a biscuit using weetbix and cocoa and raisins!”
“Good heavens child!”

I had a patient mother, as these sorts of exchanges were frequent when I was young. They exasperated and perplexed her at times. She couldn’t quite understand my drive to create.

The need to make and experiment has always had an addictive wonder to it, and nowadays the world I create in varies from contemporary art, illustration and ceramics, to cooking and gardening.

This site is a collection of these creations. Each piece is handmade and has it’s own unique character.

Reflecting on the conversations with my mother now, it is funny how her solution to my quests would usually revolve around a household chore… hmmm, patient she may have been, but also a little crafty.
